We are very honoured that Topaz won the Showboat Design Award for the Naval Architecture work done for the new J-Class Yacht ‘Topaz’ J8 last night.
The judges awarded the complexity of the naval architecture work to remodel an existing linesplan for a J-Class yacht, design her structure, do the Computational Fluid Dynamics work and optimize the yacht under the new handicap rules of the J-Class Association.

We want to thank the owners, the yard HJB, Jens Cornelsen the owners rep and her captain Romke Lopik for their efforts and support to build this yacht.

For all of us at Hoek Design it is a dream come true to work on a J-Class yacht as special and beautiful as Topaz with such a stunning exterior and art deco interior.
