Hoek Design D’ Oude Liefde
D’ Oude Liefde was built in 1995 by Bloemsma, van Breemen and Claassen Jachtbouw to a design of Hoek Design. These are three of the very best in their respective fields of aluminium hull building, installations and finishing of classic yachts.
The ketch rig has slab reefing main sails with hydraulic furling head sails. All major winches are hydraulically powered, enabling easy shorthanded sailing.
Originally D’ Oude Liefde had four cabins, but her owner decided to join the two cabins just forward of the mast bulkhead, as well as the forward bathroom, to come to one large full beam cabin with plenty of space and lockers, and with one double bed to port and two single beds to starboard, and with a wash basin forward.
A guest cabin with double bed is port aft and in the fore peak is a third cabin with two single beds. This cabin could be suitable for children or (temporary) crew. D’ Oude Liefde has a large cockpit, well protected by a spray hood on the deckhouse.
The yacht is divided in four watertight compartments by means of bulkheads including heavy watertight doors. This does not only represent a strong yacht but also a very safe yacht. D’ Oude Liefde is well maintained; many areas have been repainted and revarnished in 2008.
The yacht has been lightly used during her lifespan.
