HOEK DESIGN MARIE – 180′ – 2010
The Hoek Design Marie, is a sophisticated and distinguished sailing yacht built by Vitters Shipyard.
And she is a sister ship to the triple award-winning sailing yacht Adèle. Vitters Shipyard,
Hoek Design and David Easton, chosen by the owner to create a 180’ fabulously
looking and sensational performance yacht.
The 180 ft ketch Marie have a identical hull, keel, rudder and sail plan to Adèle but
features a new and entirely customized interior and deck layout. Marie contains a large main
deckhouse and a vast forward deck. This allows the entire deck and interior layout to be
tailored to the owner’s taste and requirements.
A considerable weight saving is achieved with the use of composite rigging and high
modulus carbon spars. The hull is constructed in Alustar to ABS and MCA specifications.
Traditional craftsmanship and modern technology created a fast, comfortable sailing
yacht with a light interior and a sophisticated style. Nautical paintings, antiques, a baby
grand piano and actual working cannons will take you back in time of adventure excitement
and the romance of the sea.
